Labioplasty
Labioplasty is designed for woman seeking aesthetic improvement of lesser pudendal labia.
The procedure is medically indicated if significant labial hypertrophy causes discomfort and impair hygiene maintenance in the area. The purpose of the labioplasty is restoration of anatomic relations of lesser pudendal labia by their partial resection and remodeling.
Procedure is performed in local or general anesthesia based on patients preference.
After excision of excessive tissues, continuity of lesser pudendal labia is restored with interrupted absorbable sutures thus there is no need of their removal. Resulting scars are imperceptible after normal healing is completed.
Patients after the procedure performed in local anesthesia leave facility just after it is completed. Patients after general anesthesia leave facility after 3-6h.
Patient should refrain from sexual activities for 8 weeks.
Return to normal activity takes 2-7 days.
Obtained results of labioplasty are good and long-lasting although this procedure can not stop natural aging process. Recurrence of hypertrophy is very rare.
